Itinerary
At Entebbe International Airport, our guide will formally welcome and greet you. You will then be driven to Airport Link Guest House, where our guide will brief you on your safari. Depending on the time of your arrival, you might get an opportunity to explore Kampala city, which is around an hour’s drive from Entebbe.

Day 1: Arrival at the Entebbe International Airport
After breakfast at Airport Link Guest House, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The 10-hour journey includes a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for photos, a lunch break in Mbarara City, and scenic views of banana plantations, long-horned Ankole cattle, and the Kabale highlands, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrival at Bwindi is marked by the mountain and forest landscapes.

Day 2: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge, our driver guide will accompany you to Rushaga sector of the park for a briefing before your trek begins. The duration of the tracking varies, depending on the terrain and the movements of the mountain gorillas. While the hike may at times be challenging, the once-in-a-lifetime thrill of observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat is truly rewarding. After the trek, you will be transferred to Birdnest at Bunyonyi Resort next to Lake Bunyonyi for a well-deserved overnight stay.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National park
Following breakfast Birdnest at Bunyonyi Resort, the trip to Entebbe will begin through the breathtaking scenery of Kabale, arriving in time for lunch in Mbarara. After the break, the trip will continue with brief stops as you like, for example, at Mpambire, where Buganda traditional royal drums are created, so you can see how they’re made using techniques that have been handed down through the years. It will be late in the evening when you arrive in Entebbe Airport for your trip out. We recommend booking your return flight in the late evening. If you’re leaving later, no worries; we’ll gladly arrange an extra night in Entebbe at a small additional cost.
